TechUp is an online training academy that runs bootcamps and courses for individuals wanting to start a career in tech. By broadening access to high-paying, high-quality jobs, we strengthen social and economic mobility in Thailand while also accelerating the country’s digital transformation. A key part of TechUp’s learning experience takes place on our online learning platform, which hosts learning content as well as interactive coding exercises for various languages and frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node, and SQL. We are looking for a full-time Mid-Level Software Developer to further develop this platform and elevate our learners’ online learning experience.
Role Scope
As a Mid-Level Software Developer, your mission will be to develop and maintain our learning platform as well as mentoring and coaching our junior developers. You will report directly to our Lead Developer, and your key responsibilities will include:
- Solution generation and investigation: Develop and explore effective solutions to solve complex technical problems in production software within our learning platform
- Team coaching and mentorship: Coach and mentor team members to enhance their software development skills, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Desired attributes
- Experience: Extensive experience in software development, particularly in the edtech sector or similar industries
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Typescript, Next.js, AWS, and Vercel; familiarity with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and modern software development practices
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to generate and investigate multiple solutions to address technical challenges effectively in production environments
- Leadership and Mentorship: Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring software development teams
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing, and comfort with giving and receiving regular feedback
This role may NOT be a good fit if you:
- Prefer working on multiple short-term projects, rather than having long-term ownership of a product
- Find it challenging to receive constructive feedback and incorporate it into your work
- Prefer to work alone and are uncomfortable collaborating with a team
